Go Big Or Go Home!
Dumpsters should never have any debris sticking up over the edge. If they do, they cannot be legally hauled on the road.
Typically there are not as many of the smaller sizes. They have a lower weight allowances and cannot carry as much debris. Also, the price difference from the smaller sizes to the larger sizes is very small. So the larger dumpsters are a much better value. The higher weight allowance, load capacity, value and availability make the 20s, 30s and 40s a better option usually, which is why they are so popular.
Weight Limits
All of our dumpster sizes can haul a very heavy load. Even a 10 yard dumpster rental is capable of hauling up to and over 10 tons. Even though any size dumpster can technically handle a very heavy load, it's not advisable or even legal in most areas to haul them weighing more than approximately ten tons. One way that many haulers address this is by providing a flat rate with a weight allowance for each size, often called the "weight limit". This weight limit is simply the amount of weight the hauler includes in the flat rate price. It helps to keep the dumpsters at safer hauling weights, and also helps keep customers total cost down for all dumpster rental sizes.
